Positive Treatment Outcomes

What We Treat

We specialize in treating complex mental health conditions and co-occurring disorders. The multimodality approach involving group, individual, and family therapy along with psychiatric services allows our clinical team to effectively understand and address challenging behavioral issues. Often, it’s the combination of multiple mental health conditions and co-occurring disorders that hinders progress with traditional services. At our facility we treat:

  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Depressive Disorders
  • Personality Disorders including Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Levels of Care

At Pasadena Villa Outpatient – Greensboro, we offer three levels of care for mental health treatment: a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and an in-person evening intensive outpatient program (E-IOP). Additionally, we have a virtual intensive outpatient program (V-IOP) available in the evenings for those throughout the state of North Carolina.

Our PHP includes group therapy for a minimum of five hours per day, five days per week. Clients enrolled in our PHP also receive psychiatric treatment as well as individual and family therapy, as determined by their primary therapist.

IOP is designed to help individuals who are experiencing an increase in distressing symptoms and behaviors or are not progressing in traditional outpatient services. The extra treatment and support foster meaningful improvement and create a solid foundation for clients transitioning back to traditional outpatient treatment. Our IOP includes high-level group therapy for three hours per day, three to five days per week.

Our evening DBT IOP Skills program spans eight weeks and exclusively operates on Monday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM EST.

Evening V-IOP: Provided throughout the state of North Carolina, our evening V-IOP is an eight-week virtual program offered only in the evenings on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm EST. Learn more here.

Our Program

At Pasadena Villa Outpatient – Greensboro, we provide customized care that’s designed to meet each client’s specific needs and unique goals. We understand that people are not their diagnosis; they’re a combination of all that’s happened in their lives and their future journeys. Because of this, our clinical team of board-certified psychiatrists, licensed clinical social workers, registered art therapists, and licensed professional counselors partner with clients and their families to design treatment plans that provide a successful pathway to recovery.

Our clinical team creates intensive treatment plans that allow each client to explore new ways to enjoy life. In a supportive and healing environment, we take a whole-person approach to treatment using evidence-based modalities that facilitate progress from clinical care towards independent self-care. Our program provides tailored psychotherapy groups that meet each week to teach our clients practical ways to handle life’s challenges, ensuring they address each client’s needs. Group-based therapy, individual psychotherapy, and family sessions ensure optimal progress in treatment and help improve each client’s quality of life. Pasadena Villa – Greensboro is an LGBTQ+ affirming environment.

The treatment process begins with the primary therapist conducting a comprehensive assessment that, upon permission from each client, includes consultation with the client’s prescriber, psychotherapist, significant others, and other service providers. Our experienced psychiatrists oversee all treatment, conduct psychiatric evaluations, and provide careful medication management as needed. Our psychiatrists communicate with the community prescriber ensuring medication changes fit within their treatment plan. Additionally, we value and foster collaboration with community providers as we serve as an extension of each client’s treatment team. The two-way communication ensures clients receive seamless continuity of care as they transition into and out of our program.
