How We Treat
At the Odyssey Outpatient Network facilities, our programs provide a supportive environment to discover ways to recognize and manage eating disorder and mental health disorder symptoms. We place a strong emphasis on building and practicing new self-management strategies that help promote independence and autonomy. We use a comprehensive approach to treatment that includes customized treatment, compassionate care, and a collaborative environment.
At each of our outpatient centers, we provide customized care that is designed to meet each client’s specific needs and unique goals. We understand that people are not their diagnosis; they are a mixture of all that has happened and their future journeys. Because of this, our treatment team partners with clients and their families to design treatment plans that provide a successful pathway to recovery. Treatment can include psychotherapy groups, individual and family therapy, nutrition education, meal planning and support, medication management, and aftercare planning and assistance.
In a supportive and healing environment, we take a whole-person, trauma-informed approach to treatment using evidence-based modalities that facilitate progress from clinical care towards independent self-care. Our evidence-based therapies include but aren’t limited to dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and experiential and expressive therapies. Additionally, each of our outpatient facilities are LGBTQ+ affirming environments.
Experienced clinicians provide multidisciplinary treatment utilizing medical, nutritional, psychological, and psychiatric interventions. Our treatment philosophy values collaboration with the community, including regular education and coordination with outpatient providers, family members, and other members of each client’s support system. The two-way communication with each client’s community ensures clients receive seamless continuity of care as they transition into and out of our program.
