Our Program

At Aster Springs Outpatient – Richmond, we provide customized care that’s designed to meet each client’s specific needs and unique goals. We understand that people are not their diagnosis; they’re a combination of all that’s happened in their lives and their future journeys. Because of this, our treatment team partners with clients and their families to design treatment plans that provide a successful pathway to recovery. Treatment can include psychotherapy groups, culinary groups, individual and family therapy, nutrition education, meal planning and support, medication management, and aftercare planning and assistance.

In a supportive and healing environment, we take a whole-person, trauma-informed approach to treatment using evidence-based modalities that facilitate progress from clinical care towards independent self-care. Our evidence-based therapies include, but aren’t limited to dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), experiential and expressive therapies, and emotion-focused family therapy (EFFT), and Family Based Therapy (FBT). Aster Springs Outpatient – Richmond is an LGBTQ+ affirming environment and is inclusive of all religious preferences.

Experienced clinicians provide multidisciplinary treatment utilizing medical, nutritional, psychological, and psychiatric interventions. Our treatment philosophy values collaboration with the community, including regular education and coordination with outpatient providers, family members, schools, and other members of each client’s support system. The two-way communication with each client’s community ensures clients receive seamless continuity of care as they transition into and out of our program.
