Who We Are

Located in Glen Allen, VA, Pasadena Villa Outpatient – Richmond specializes in treating adults (18 years or older) of all genders who have anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depressive disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), personality disorders, and co-occurring autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

We don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment. We curate treatment plans unique to the specific diagnosis and the unique needs of each individual client. Committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive, and high-quality individualized psychiatric and psychotherapeutic care, we treat adults who suffer from severe and persistent mental illness while maximizing social functioning in the real world.

What We Treat

At Pasadena Villa Outpatient – Richmond, we treat clients with mental health disorders, including:

Levels of Care

At Pasadena Villa Outpatient – Richmond, we offer two levels of care: a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP).

Our PHP includes six hours of group therapy, five days a week. Family therapy is scheduled as appropriate. The average length of stay for our PHP is six to eight weeks.

Our IOP includes three hours of group therapy at least three days a week. The average length of stay is dependent upon each client’s progress towards their treatment goals.

Our Program

We offer customized treatment that’s focused on helping each client achieve their recovery goals related to their mental health symptoms that are contributing to distress in daily life. We offer a unique environment that meets each person where they are in an atmosphere of openness and acceptance without judgement. We also focus on addressing the underlying issues and supporting long-term recovery with a combination of a unique step-down approach and multidisciplinary therapies.

While in treatment, our clients can expect to receive exceptional care provided by a team of experienced professionals. Our success is built on a foundation of evidence-based treatment that prepares adults of all genders, ages 18 and older, for their journeys towards life-long freedom from mental health challenges.

At Pasadena Villa Outpatient – Richmond, we assess the needs of each client daily to prepare the next day’s sessions while also ensuring that each day seamlessly builds off the previous one. We are committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive, and high-quality individualized psychiatric and psychotherapeutic care for adults who suffer from severe and persistent mental illness while maximizing social functioning in the real world.

Payment Options

Pasadena Villa Outpatient – Richmond is in-network with Anthem and MultiPlan. We also accept out-of-network benefits from other major insurance companies and offer a private-pay rate. Michelle Worrall, DSW, LCSW

Michelle Worrall, DSW, LCSW

Clinical Practice Director

Michelle Worrall comes to Pasadena Villa with 25 years of experience as a professional social worker. She is an experienced clinician and manager in varied treatment milieu including outpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization services. Michelle is a licensed clinical social worker and holds a clinical doctorate in social work from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Worrall has a breadth of experience in working with individuals with diverse needs. She specializes in working with individuals around disordered eating practices and body image challenges, individuals with serious and persistent mental health/behavioral health challenges, and women’s issues utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, interpersonal, and trauma-informed therapies. She prioritizes, cultivates, and models client-centered, solution-focused, and strengths-based care.

Denise Thomson, MS, LPC

Denise Thomson, MS, LPC

Therapist

Denise joins Pasadena Villa with 15 years of experience in behavioral health services and has worked in a variety of settings including residential, crisis and outpatient. She has vast experience facilitating individual, family, and group therapy. Denise is a Licensed Professional Counselor, graduating from the University of Alberta in Canada with a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology. With experience in trauma care, eating disorders, crisis, and serious mental illness, she utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapies to facilitate improved well-being.  Denise focuses on client strengths and helps individuals to develop skills to improve their mental health and daily life experiences. Using open collaboration and direct communication with clients and their families, she encourages active participation in treatment. Denise has a life-long passion for learning and continues her professional growth based on the needs of the individuals she works with.

Tameka Boone, MS, LMHP

Tameka Boone, MS, LMHP

Resident in Counseling

Tameka received her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University.  She has experience serving children and adults in services such as intensive in-home, mental health skill-building, crisis, and community stabilization. Tameka is a strong advocate and assists individuals in her care in learning the skills necessary to be successful. She has experience working with individuals who have various behavioral health needs and focuses on providing goal-oriented care. Tameka plans to become a fully Licensed Professional Counselor and continue her professional growth in providing solution-focused and trauma-informed care.

Stephanie N Sadtler, FNP-B

Stephanie N Sadtler, FNP-B

Nurse Practitioner

Stephanie Sadtler is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with an expertise in eating disorders. She earned her Master of Science degree from Walden University and has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Richmond.  Prior to Stephanie’s work with eating disorders, her background included a specialty in gastrointestinal issues, emergency medicine, cardiology, and pulmonology.  She holds a national board certificate with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a family nurse practitioner and is working on her accreditation to be a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CED-S).
